The community at Yaarpur has been deprived on many counts though they are in the heart of the town. This time we have decided to visit this settlement and to begin an awareness campaign among the young girls. It was heartening when we found the number of young girls just idling away their time. When we spoke to them if they had a desire to learn sewing they were very eager and expressed a readiness to abide by the rules. The girls gathered in huge numbers and they readily wrote their names. What was even more surprising was that they were even able to identify a teacher who would be able to teach them the skill. We hope that they will come forward to avail of this opportunity. The teacher Manju is very keen to become the classes, we hope this will become a reality soon.
