Organizing Press Conference

The constant eviction of the dwelling units and the vendors has raised a deep concern for us. On the pretext of cleaning the drains the communities are being harassed, their huts demolished with the help of bulldozers as if they were concrete buildings. The poor find it so difficult to make both ends meet and yet the administration and the law enforcing agencies come and destroy everything in a minute thus causing them immense unnecessary expenses. It does not mean anything to the bureaucrats because they consider these people as nuisances. So, it is so easy to destroy their huts and confiscate their belongings. The vendors also have to face the same situation; there is no forum to place their grievances and find a sympathetic hearing. In order to raise these balant violations of the administration we had two ex Ministers Brishin Patel and Shyam Rajak who graced the occasion with their presence. They listened with empathy to their pain and agony and responded with positive solutions, assuring them tht they will be in the fore front of the struggle. We had invited one representative from the community so that they would hear of the proceedings that were being taken up on their behalf.
