In solidarity with the martyred soldiers
14, February 2019 will go down in history as ’Black Day’ when 44 CRPF jawans were attacked when on their way to Srinagar to take charge of their duty. What a cowardly act to attack an entire bus when they were ill prepared to meet the consequences of the same.
The entire nation was raging…angered at what had happened….who does one hold accountable to this failure to respond to the intelligence. We at Aashray Abhiyan were saddened by the turn of events…we joined civil society as we held a candle light procession. The procession was at Kargil chowk where we first observed two minutes silence in honor of the departed souls and prayed for strength and courage for the bereaved families. So many innocent children orphaned…so many women widowed. We stood speechless and unable to contain the reaction of the crowd who…….
In conclusion we raised slogans to express our solidarity….Shaheed Jawano…amaar rehe…amaar rehe. Jai jawan, Jai Kisan….placing our candles around Kargil chowk, we hope we paid a fitting homage to the departed souls.
