It was indeed a real surprise when on the 15th November, a call came from Shri Sanjay Paswan – ex education Minister central government and present MLC of Bihar inviting Dorothy to Delhi to receive the award. The award was conferred for safeguarding the Indian Constitution and for promoting the Constitutional Values. It was conferred at the Constitutional Club on the 26th November – Constitution Day at New Delhi. 70 people across the country were selected to receive the award. The ceremony was a simple yet meaningful one. “Kabir ke log” and “Center for Dalit Studies, India Foundation” came together to identify and award citizens of this great country. It was a moment of pride and joy and also a matter of great respect to be one among the seventy. May God continue to guide us…
